I miss my friend.

August 5, 2008 · 1 Comment

I had this friend who could have been my soul mate.  He lived behind a chain fence that I pass by every day on walkie.  I didn’t know his name until today.

Whenever I saw him, we would act like we hated each other, but it was just an act.  We would have the most fantastic barking contests.  Of course I always won cause I would walk away first.  Isn’t that the way the rules work?

I hadn’t seen him in a while and thought that he had gone on vacation.  But then this morning, I saw this on the fence:

I am very sad today that my friend is gone.  Buddy, I hope you are chasing lots of squirrels in the sky.

Kisses,

Lucy

No respect

All in all, my weekend was fun.  Mom took me on a couple of long walkies.  We explored parts of the path that we don’t see every day.  Lots of new smells…  I love that.

This was a bit strange.  I saw these two signs right next to each other:

I tried barking at the fence to see what would happen.  Guess what I heard?  Silence.  Seems like a coupla wimpy dogs to me.  Beware of dog?!?  Pffffttt!

Ok, this was rude.  On Friday, my mom brought me to a dinner party.  I KNOW they were eating some tasty food cause I know what filet mignon smells like.  Noone offered any food to me.  I was also stuck with a snivelly, ridiculously hairy dog all night.  Not so fun.  This is about how exciting my night was:

I tell you, I get no respect around here.
