I miss my friend.

I had this friend who could have been my soul mate.  He lived behind a chain fence that I pass by every day on walkie.  I didn’t know his name until today.

Whenever I saw him, we would act like we hated each other, but it was just an act.  We would have the most fantastic barking contests.  Of course I always won cause I would walk away first.  Isn’t that the way the rules work?

I hadn’t seen him in a while and thought that he had gone on vacation.  But then this morning, I saw this on the fence:

I am very sad today that my friend is gone.  Buddy, I hope you are chasing lots of squirrels in the sky.

My favorite collar before I got skunked

Hey friends,

If you have the kinda clout I have with my parents, make them buy you this collar.  It’s pretty cool and it helps me keep focus on my mission.

I loved this collar.  Unfortunately, one day I got skunked.  It was great, by the way.  I love that smell.  My parents did NOT and after that, they threw away my squirrel collar and now I’m wearing a stupid girly collar.

So close…

Okay my relationship with my mom is a bit strained right now.  She keeps yelling at me on walkie. 

Today I was THIS close to nailing a squirrel, but she kept yelling at me to come.  Doesn’t she know that I have a civic duty?  Doesn’t she know that I have a mission to accomplish?  Dude, I was THIS close.

I just wish she could be more understanding.  That’s all.
