The mean man wearing a uniform

September 19, 2008 · Leave a Comment

This week, my mom had a funny schedule, so we had to leave for our morning walkies VERY early.  One day, I was fast asleep when her alarm went off.  Normally I have to use my powers of focus to will her to wake up for walkie, but I had just gone to sleep after playing with my dad all night, so I was pretty tired.

The walkie was fun although we didn’t see any of my usual friends.  : (

As we were heading home, I was suddenly blinded by a strong flashlight pointed right in my face.  It was a man in a uniform who started talking to my mom.

He was really fun to jump all over, but he told my mom that we weren’t supposed to be there.  How dare he!  This is MY trail.  He said something about there being thieves on the trail, but I think that is B.S.

Thank goodness we never again have to be on the trail when the mean man is there!

Little ways to make the world a better place

September 16, 2008 · Leave a Comment

This is a follow up to my review yesterday.  Oh! first of all, thanks to all of you for the kind words… damn straight I look great in that earth-friendly jacket!

Along the lines of being friendly, I wanted to highlight another example of doing good in this world.  If everyone made an effort to treat each other with respect, the world would be a much different place.

My new BFF wrote the following as a thank you for my review, http://tinyurl.com/5ufdlt

It’s just nice to feel loved and I definitely do!

Kisses,

Earth’s Best Friend: My New Best Friend

September 15, 2008 · 3 Comments

Peeps, it’s time to get with the program.  We all must do our part to help maintain our beautiful Earth.  I recently had to educate my mom & dad on the concept.  They now buy me biodegradable, environmentally friendly shampoo – baths stink but at least I’m helping the environment.

One of my new BFF’s sent me a jacket from Earth’s Best Friend.  I am a happy girl.

First of all, I look darn good in this jacket.  This ain’t no “girlie girl, fluffy, princessy” kind of outfit (you all know the type of dog that wears that garbage!)  Any dog would be proud to strut around in this jacket.  I feel very smart and respectable when I wear my new jacket.

Earth’s Best Friend’s fabrics come from producers in Arizona and Colorado that use organic, biodegradable, and sustainable cotton and hemp – I have to say the fabric feels very NICE against my fur & skin.

Environmentally responsible + goodlooking + feels good?  It’s a win-win-win!

The decorative buttons on my jacket come from New York – apparently they have won awards for their technology that allows them to harvest and manufacture their products in a ecologically friendly way.   If only more people in this world could be as conscientious as Earth’s Best Friend.

Oh!  That’s not all… my jacket came with a hang tag that I gave to my mom.  She planted it in my backyard and supposedly we will have wildflowers soon!

Friends, you all need to go tell your moms & dads to order you one now!

I love you, Earth’s Best Friend!  Thank you for making the world a better place.

Kisses,

Lucy

NOT a friend.

September 11, 2008 · Leave a Comment

On a recent walkie I saw THIS sitting on the trail.  My mom & I walk by this spot every day.

WHAT THE HECK?  that is not a friend I need to know.  Is it a monster?

Oh on a separate topic… watch this space: I will be reviewing some environmentally friendly doggie jackets.  You can get more info here,

I’m quite excited cause I don’t particularly like clothing (au naturel… that’s my style) but anything that is environmentally friendly, I’m all for!

I hate pollen and the lake called Donna

September 8, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Check it out!  I went to see a dermatologist on Friday.  Isn’t that what all the celebrities do?  But they didn’t give me botox.  Instead they shaved a patch of fur on my belly and poked me in different spots.  By the time they were done, it looked like someone had performed a voodoo ritual on me.  My dermatologist told my mom that she is certain I am allergic to pollen.  I thought that pollen came from flowers.  I don’t like flowers, too girly.  I like dirt and mud and goopy stuff on the trail.  Figures I’d be allergic to pollen.

Then, my mom & dad picked up Auntie Ayelet and we drove for a LONG time and ended up at a house I remember staying at last year with Auntie Amy and Uncle Ian.  It’s a great house ’cause it the floor is completely covered with thick fur that is great to roll around on.  In the morning, my mom took me on a run all the way around a big lake.  I think the lake is called Donna.  I didn’t think she still had it in her… normally we walk ridiculously slow on the trail.  That was fun!

It was fun to stay in the house with the great fur, but they left me there all day long by myself – luckily I was super sleepy and caught some zzzzzz’s.  When they came home, they were acting really silly and goofy.  Not fair that they were off having all kinds of fun without me.  Boo!

Anyways, here are some pictures I took of the lake & my mom’s running shoes as she was passed out after the run.

Advice request?

September 2, 2008 · 3 Comments

Hi all,

I apologize that I have not been very good about blogging lately.  Here’s the deal… I am sick.  I have a problem in that I feel itchy all over and it makes me really uncomfortable.

My parents have tried a lot of different things… spraying me with stuff that stinks, switching my food to food that is tasteless, and feeding me pieces of hot dog stuffed with pills that make me drowsy (they think I have no idea.  I planned to eat only the hotdog but somehow before I knew it, the pill went down my throat..  dammit!)

So I am sending a request to all of you wonderful friends…  Can you help?  Any suggestions for an itchy, scratchy gal?

It is really affecting my mojo that my skin has turned bright red and my fur is falling out on my chest region.

Thanks, friends.  Love you all!

xoxo,

Lucy
